Working as a team member on Pigeon Key means becoming part of a close-knit crew on one of the most unique and historic islands in the Florida Keys. Every day here offers something new and exciting—whether you’re guiding visitors across the Old Seven Mile Bridge, leading hands-on marine science classes, or sharing the island’s fascinating stories with guests from around the world.

Life on Pigeon Key is filled with energy, teamwork, and purpose. You’ll work alongside passionate educators, historians, and caretakers who are all dedicated to preserving this special place and inspiring others to appreciate its beauty and legacy. From welcoming school groups to maintaining our historic buildings, every task contributes to keeping the island thriving.

  • The ideal candidate is an upbeat, friendly, confident professional. They must have the ability to multitask and work outdoors in all seasons.
  • Our guides lead four tours on the island each day between 10AM – 4PM and interact with the public sharing our history about the grounds and buildings.

  • We’re looking for a positive, detail-oriented individual with strong interpersonal skills. Must be comfortable managing guests, handling tickets, and assisting with daily operations.
  • This role supports admissions, guest check-ins, and general inquiries between 9AM – 5PM daily at the Welcome Center.
