It’s that time of the year when our annual Pigeon Key Art Festival rolls into town! This year The Pigeon Key Foundation and Marine Science Center will be hosting its 23rd annual Art Festival right here in Marathon, Florida. Running from Saturday, February 4th-5th, this festival will have something for everyone; art, food, and music! It will be held at the Marathon Community Park located at Mile Marker 49. Doors will be open from 10 am – 5 pm on Saturday and from 10 am – 4 pm on Sunday.
Over 50 artists and craftsmen will have their art on display on both Saturday and Sunday. We will also have local food vendors and even a concert Saturday night featuring the band Beatlemaniax from 5-8 PM. If you are a fan of the Beatles or just enjoy good, live music this will be the place to be! Local marine educators and organizations will also be in attendance with hands on activities for children and adults.
Also, returning this year will be celebrity marine life artist, Wyland! Throughout the entire festival Wyland will be auctioning off live art that he curates in front of your very eyes. All proceeds from the festival will go to helping The Pigeon Key Foundation and Marine Science Center in its mission to protect the cultural history of the Florida Keys and educate our youth through marine science curricula.
Admission is only $7 for both days of the art festival and it also includes admission into the concert on Saturday. For more information, you can check out the festivals official website or their Facebook page and sign up to volunteer.
We look forward to seeing you there!
